All I Want for Christmas is Everything in Sephora/Bloomies

Brooklyn Dolls is so excited to announce our picks for the best holiday gifts (for her) this season. It’s our favorite time of year because not only do we get to try all sort of beauty products, well actually, I guess that’s pretty much it. We’ve scoured the department stores, drugstores, and online shops looking for the perfect gifts for you to give all the special ladies in your life. So put down that hat and gloves set and take our word for it. Here we go:

For your friend who can never decide on one signature scent:

We love Angel Precious Star by Thierry Mugler, a limited edition bottle of the legendary sweet-but-still-sexy scent that is sprinkled with stardust and more-than-kind-of looks like the star on top of your Christmas tree. Except it sits on your dresser. And smells really good.

If your friend is more of a floral fragrance gal, try Marchesa’s new scent, Parfum D’Extase, a combination of freesia, violet, and jasmine. The bottle, which is made to look like a raw crystal, is so pretty she might even forget to wear it. Think of it as a perfume and home decor in one.

For your friend who’s super glam and loves pulling out fancy compacts:

Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette, from the brand’s Holiday 2012 collection, comes in a gorgeous gold compact and contains four univerally-flattering brown hues, including one gold metallic that has New Year’s Eve party written all over it. Bonus points: Each shade can be worn wet or dry so your friend can customize how dramatic she wants the look to be.

Guerlain’s Liu Eye & Lip Calligraphy Palette is insanely chic. The slim black compact has two deep, winter-perfect lipsticks, three iridescent neutral shadows, and a black liner that can be applied wet or dry. We really don’t know who wouldn’t want this.

For your mom our aunt who repeatedly points out her set of frown lines:

Freeze 24-7 Instant Targeted Wrinkle Treatment is the answer to most women’s prayers.  It’s instant gratification in a jar. Just apply the wrinkle treatment to your facial lines (no matter how deep set), and voila: you can actually see your skin plumping and smoothing out.  Just wear under your everyday moisturizer and foundation for the full airbrushed effect. The brand claims plumpness to last up to 24 hours, though, in the Brooklyn Dolls’ test kitchen, we’d say more like 8 hours, but that’s still quite good. We will take it.   Continue using and within two weeks you can expect to see lasting results. (Note: To avoid any conflict when presenting someone with Freeze 24-7, say something along the lines of, “I personally don’t see any lines, but if you are starting to notice then you will love…”)

For any woman who loves experimenting with makeup:

MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultimate Eye Liner Collection

Make Up For Ever’s The Ultimate Eye Liner Collection is not for the woman who sticks to her traditional black liner day after day.  This set offers pretty much any color you can dream of lining your eyes with, in both pencil and liquid forms, from the brand’s awesome Aqua Eyes collection. The pencils glide on smooth, so you won’t have to tug at your peepers (caution: crow’s feet), and if liquid is your liner of choice, don’t worry about smudging.  The liner will pretty much stay put until you’re good and ready to wipe away the day. It’s a limited edition set so act fast this holiday season.

We hope you ladies were good this year and get all these fabulous presents.

Happy Holidays!
J & C
