I want them alll…me me me
They say the third time’s a charm. And so it is with lipstains. My foray into testing out drugstore versions of this product has continued (you’re welcome), this time with Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipstain in Blushing, a raspberry shade. And I am in love. I have to say I like Maybelline’s Color Sensational line in general, and have been working on my LipColor collection for awhile now. And the Lipstain doesn’t disappoint either. In fact, hey, Maybelline, let me know if you are looking for a spokesperson! Maybe we can shoot a commercial in Bay Ridge. I can see it now. Call me.
But enough about me. The Lipstain, first of all, smells great, like raspberries (go figure), but the scent fades once applied–which is appreciated, since lip gloss really shouldnt maintain a smell unless you’re 12 and wearing Bonne Bell LipSmackers. It is really smooth to apply and non-drying, unlike Cover Girl’s Outlast Lipstain, which constantly gets raved about in magazines and I cannot figure out why. The color is also really buildable, so one swoop is super sheer, but several more and there’s this great, deep berry stain thing going on. Dark, yes, but still very wearable and not inappropriate for work. Yes, it does fade a bit faster than Revlon’s Just Bitten, which I also liked, but I have to say this is my favorite lipstain yet. So go get it. I’m going to try another shade soon, too. For $8, why not?
